Swedish Navy Band - Music in Blekinge
We had the opportunity to contribute to the celebration of Fredrik Henrik af Chapman's 300th anniversary by producing a multi-camera recording of the annual Vasaskjul concert performed by the Swedish Navy Band. The event honored Chapman, one of Europe’s most renowned shipbuilders, and took place in the naval city of Karlskrona. The goal was to create a recording and live production to be shared with a broader audience via Musik i Blekinge’s YouTube channel, Scenkanalen Blekinge.
Using eight cameras connected to a mixing station set up in an office container outside the venue, we captured every detail of the concert. By collaborating closely with the Navy Band’s producer, who had in-depth knowledge of the musical pieces and guided us on which instruments and musicians to highlight during specific moments, we delivered a professional video production that showcased the musicians and their performances at the perfect time. Challenges such as dim lighting and structural obstacles in the venue were resolved by optimizing both the visuals and audio to achieve the best possible results.
The final production was highly appreciated by both the organizers and the audience, successfully published on Scenkanalen Blekinge. We’re proud to have been part of this historic event and delighted that the successful outcome led to additional assignments, such as the live broadcast of the Solist Prize for the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the Swedish Navy Band.
